Wisdom Wednesday – More About File Folders
Last week I talked about the puzzle piece icons that are part of Sort Your Story. These are not just pretty icons there for show. They serve a purpose. They are file folders.
Now, the way the file folders display on the Mac and Windows are different. The Mac will retain the puzzle icons when copied and pasted to create folders for a new ancestor. Windows does not do this.
Windows will copy the folders and paste them. Windows will also give you the “typical Windows file folder” icon. Want the puzzle piece icon back for the Maternal and Paternal folders? Just follow these instructions to change the icon.
- Click the first Paternal
- Copy folder and right click.
- Choose Properties.
- Click the Customize tab.
- Click the Restore Default button.
- Click OK.
- Repeat for the copied Maternal folders.
